DICOM imaging viewer

Imaging study browser + frame viewer powered by WADO-RS. Opens from any chart’s Imaging tab when the patient has studies on file.

How it integrates

Pollen8 doesn’t store DICOM pixel data — it consumes a WADO-RS endpoint your PACS exposes. Configure the base URL under Connections.

The viewer:

Queries the WADO-RS server for the patient’s studies (QIDO-RS).
Renders the study list with modality, study date, body region.
Loads frames on demand from the WADO-RS /rendered/jpeg endpoint — Pollen8 never streams raw DICOM, so bandwidth stays bounded.

Surfaces

Study list with thumbnails.
Frame viewer with W/L, zoom, pan, measurement tools.
Series navigator (when a study has multiple series).
Report attachment — the PACS-generated report renders as a collapsible panel above the images.

Linking studies to Orders

When an imaging Order (Orders) fulfills, the matching DICOM study auto-links via accession number. The Order detail page shows a “View images” button that jumps into the viewer at the right study.

What it isn’t

Not a PACS. Storage, archiving, and HL7 ORM/ORU live in your existing PACS / RIS infrastructure.
Not a diagnostic-grade viewer for radiologist primary read. Pollen8’s viewer is for the ordering clinician’s “look at the images during the follow-up visit” use case.
